SUNDAY WORSHIP

Join us for worship Sunday mornings at 8:15 and 11am.

Location: 1997 Thomas Jefferson Road, Forest, VA

For many, our worship service on Sunday mornings will be your first introduction to Mercy Presbyterian Church. All are welcome!

We want our worship to be shaped by Scripture, clearly communicating God’s grace in the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout. In worship, God comes to us through his word and sacraments, displaying both his glory and his grace. And we come to him in songs of praise and thanksgiving and with prayers of confession and adoration, as we make our needs known to him. We are not simply observers in worship, but participants as we respond to what God has done for us through his Son.

We want our worship services to be intelligible to those who are new and unfamiliar with Christianity because God wants to be known. We also desire our worship to be formative, that you would leave knowing more of what it means to “present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1).

There is a similar order to our worship week-to-week. However, we are not very formal in dress or style. Our hope is that you will come wanting to consider the gospel of Jesus Christ more fully rather than feeling the need to conform in outward ways.

Our services typically last between 75-90 minutes.

We are family friendly, and children are welcome in our worship services (more on our nursery and children’s church here).

All are welcome in our service; however, if you’re looking for a more private space, we have a special needs seating area and a cry room in the back of our sanctuary.

Our facility offers handicap parking, access ramp, and other typical ADA facility features.

A special needs seating room is available (first door on your left as you enter the building) to provide a more private worship space.

A wheelchair is available upon request,

Our ushers are glad to assist you with finding seating.

If you have any other needs or considerations, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Special Needs Ministry or email deacons@mercypres.org anytime.
